Independence Day Celebration at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya ASC Centre, Bengaluru
Bengaluru, 15 August 2025 — The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya ASC Centre, Bengaluru. On this occasion, the officiating Principal and Chief Guest, Mrs. M. Bhagyalakshmi, along with all the teachers, staff members, parents, and students were present.
The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the national flag and the singing of the National Anthem by the Chief Guest, Mrs. M. Bhagyalakshmi. This was followed by the formal welcome of the Chief Guest and the commencement of a series of vibrant cultural programmes. Students delivered impactful speeches in both Hindi and English on the significance of Independence Day. Group songs, group dances, and other cultural performances captivated the audience.
The officiating Principal, Mrs. M. Bhagyalakshmi, paid homage to the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and extended her best wishes for Independence Day to everyone. She also highlighted the nation’s continuous progress in areas such as the economy, infrastructure, healthcare facilities, and technology. She urged the youth to contribute towards building the kind of nation envisioned by our freedom fighters. The Headmistress, Mrs. Jaybala Prakash, also shared her thoughts, acquainting the students with the historical and moral significance of Independence Day.
The commendable contribution of everyone involved ensured the successful organisation of the programme. The stage was compered by students Nisha, G. Yashitha, Prisha, Nanditha, Sachit, and Tejashree under the guidance of Mrs. Mari Dipali. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Selena Jackson.
The programme concluded with the distribution of sweets.
